Citation : http://disneyworld.orlandovacation.com/images/disney_world.jpg
I believe that the Disney World castle is a piece of architecture that is world renowned object that represents stories and fairy-tales. For many years Disney has created movies that create ideas and notions and inspirations from cartoons that tell stories.
Artifacts

Artifacts are simply memorable objects with hidden meanings and history.
Translation

Communication between two or more people from different backgrounds usually require translation. We use methods of gestures, music, and sometimes a written language.
Multi-View

In Architecture, Multiview drawings help tremendously. They provide depth and perspective on ideas and suggestions.
Cycle
Citation : http://www.nhn.ou.edu/~jeffery/course/c_energy/energyl/lec004/water_cycle_001.png
Cycles such as the scientific water cycle shows how there is constant repetition and consistency. Without fail it will always happen. For example, the design cycle depicts the rise and fall of architecture based on time periods. Like music there is a decline and a rise depending on the society.
The Little Red Cap
The Little Red Cap
The story begins with an introduction of the protagonist. She was beautiful and very attractive with her silky hair and perfect skin. Her grandmother gives her a little red cap and she fell in love with it so much they called her “Little Red Cap”.
As the story goes Little Red Cap must deliver a bottle of wine and a piece of cake to her grandmother who lives far in the woods. She begins her journey and runs into a wolf. The wolf soon convinces the little girl to go off track and pick some flowers and gets quickly distracted and consumed by the forest.
While Little Red Cap picked and played in the flowers the wolf quickly ran to the grandmother’s house, ate her, and swiftly changed into her clothes awaiting the helpless Red Cap.
Little Red Cap, realizing what time it was, rushed to the grandmother’s house. The wolf’s identity became clear and in panic, ate Little Red Cap.
Moments later a hunter enters the building with suspicion and finds the grandmother and Red Cap moving within the wolf’s belly. He cuts open the wolf abruptly, saves the two women, and killed the wolf by putting stones in his stomach.

Design History Class Session 1 Cont.
Design History Class Session 1
On the first day of class we were given assigned seats based on our name. Along with the assigned seats we were also given a year to find architectural information on. (More on that Later) These were the notes that were taken in class.
First off, I love this class. I find it extremely interesting, captivating, and at times inspirational. Patrick Lucas is able to identify objects off of the top of his head and his knowledge seems endless.
